KATHARINE BARRACK

Kat Barrack is an HR consultant specializing in diversity and inclusion, change management, project management and training development. Prior to consulting, Kat was a Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Thermo Fisher Scientific, leading diversity efforts for the two largest business groups impacting over 55,000 employees across more than 50 countries. 

Originally from Winston-Salem, Kat has a Bachelors in Literature from UNC Asheville and a PHR and Prosci certification. She moved to Wilmington in 2014 where she now lives with her husband and two children. In addition to her HR work, she’s been active with organizations and programs such as Leadership Wilmington, Toastmasters, and StepUp Wilmington. In 2024 she was honored as a 40 under 40 recipient by the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce. She served previously as a board member in 2018 and is excited to be back as DEI Director.
