Alexis Hunter

Alexis Hunter is a Wilmington, NC native and received a bachelor’s degree in Communication from NC State University. She has worked in multiple industries from manufacturing to hospitality and has found a passion serving in the healthcare field. After working 10 years at a local counseling center as the Practice Manager and Director of Professional Relations, she walked into the HR field blindly and quickly learned how important a community of professionals is! LCFHRA helped Alexis learn the ropes of HR and helped to propel her into a new role at Wilmington Health by supporting external HR professionals find healthcare for their employees. Alexis has a passion for marketing, communications, and HR and is honored to serve alongside other community leaders to train and support HR professionals in Southeastern NC!

Alexis joined the Communications Committee in 2021 and started as Communications Chair in 2022, where she supported the chapter through website and social media management. In 2024, she transitioned to President Elect and looks forward to collaborating with fellow board members as LCFHRA reaches more HR professionals!
